Founded in January 2026, Sounds of East Texas is a Texas music and entertainment platform rooted in Tyler. We celebrate music across the state and across genres while shining a special spotlight on East Texas.

Through awards, live events, and showcases, we bring together artists, songwriters, bands, venues, music professionals, businesses, and fans. East Texas is the place we call home and the heart of what we’re building.

Nominations for the inaugural Sounds of East Texas Awards are scheduled to open December 15, 2026. The awards ceremony is planned for fall 2027 in Tyler and will recognize artists, creators, venues, and music professionals whose work contributes to Texas music.
