Sounds of East Texas is a music awards platform dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the talent, heritage and impact of musicians across Texas, with a special spotlight on East Texas. The organization exists to support, uplift and connect Texas artists, songwriters, bands, venues and music industry professionals through public recognition, cultural engagement and professional opportunities.

Launching in January 2026, Sounds of East Texas celebrates all genres of music and welcomes artists from every style and background. Throughout its inaugural year, the organization will focus on building community and business partnerships, engaging sponsors and vendors and developing programs leading up to its first official awards ceremony in 2027.

Beyond the annual awards ceremony, Sounds of East Texas will host events throughout the year, including showcases, workshops and community performances designed to bring together artists, industry professionals and music fans while creating opportunities for collaboration and growth.

Nominations will open in late 2026 and will be available to eligible artists and industry professionals across Texas. Through its awards program and year-round initiatives, Sounds of East Texas aims to honor artistic excellence, preserve regional music culture and strengthen the Texas music community by recognizing the voices, venues and creators who make Texas music unforgettable.
